Therapy for Life Transitions
Secure, online therapy for adults in California navigating major life changes.
Alright. What now?
Something in your life has changed, whether you knew it was coming or not.
Going off to college. Getting news of a family member’s passing. Welcoming your first child. Getting married. Getting divorced. Anything that has altered your everyday routine has a place here.
A new chapter can be exciting, difficult, unexpected, or all three at once. You may know that something in your life has changed without knowing exactly how you're supposed to feel about it—or what comes next.
Finding your footing
Therapy can give you space to slow down and understand what's happening beneath the surface.
We'll look at what has changed, what you're carrying with you, and what you want this next chapter to look like.
Together, we might work on:
Managing anxiety and uncertainty
Processing grief and loss
Adjusting to changes in identity or relationships
Building confidence in your decisions
Understanding what you need now
Setting boundaries during times of change
Creating a sense of stability when life feels unfamiliar
Figuring out what you want moving forward
You don't have to have the next chapter figured out before you begin.
My approach
I don't believe every transition needs the same kind of therapy.
Starting college is different from becoming a parent. An empty nest is different from losing someone you love. A career change is different from a divorce.
That's why I create an individualized treatment approach based on what is happening in your life and what you need right now.
I'm a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and I use talk therapy, EMDR, cognitive therapy, and other evidence-based approaches when appropriate.
We'll start with where you are and work from there.
What sessions can look like
Our sessions will be shaped around your experience.
Sometimes you'll need space to process what you've lost.
Sometimes you'll need help making a decision.
Sometimes you'll need to understand why a change that seems positive has left you feeling anxious or unsettled.
And sometimes you simply need a place to say, “I don't know what I'm doing right now.”
That's a place we can start.
Figure out what’s next
A new chapter doesn't have to feel familiar right away.
Therapy can help you understand where you've been, make sense of where you are, and begin building a life that feels like yours again.
