Therapy for Sexual Trauma

You deserve a place where you are in control of what happens next.

I provide online therapy for adults throughout California healing from sexual assault and sexual trauma, with an approach centered on safety, choice, and your control over the process.

When your sense of safety has been taken away

What happened was not your choice. Your body is yours, and your autonomy matters.

After sexual trauma, your mind and body may continue to respond as though you're in danger—even when you're safe now.

A certain kind of touch. A relationship. A memory. A moment of intimacy.

Your nervous system may react before you even understand why.

Sexual trauma can change the way the brain and nervous system respond to stress and perceived danger. Understanding these responses can help you work with them rather than blame yourself for them.

In therapy, we'll work toward helping you feel more safety, more choice, and more trust in yourself.

You may want things to feel different.

Maybe you're ready to:

  • Feel more comfortable in your body.

  • Trust yourself again.

  • Feel safer in relationships.

  • Have more choice around intimacy.

  • Spend less time thinking about what happened.

What happened was outside of your control. The shame, self-blame, or difficulty trusting yourself that may have followed does not belong to you. What happened to you is not a reflection of your character or personal qualities…

What working with me can look like

Each session is done from the comfort of your home with HIPPAA-compliant software.

It’s safe, secure, and flexible.

We'll start with what's happening in your life now and what you'd like to change. It’s a process. But, it’s one that can be done when you have a supportive person there in the room with you.

I may use:

  • EMDR

  • Talk therapy

  • Cognitive therapy

  • Other evidence-based trauma approaches

Some sessions may involve helping you process trauma or notice and shift any negative beliefs about yourself. Others may focus on relationships, boundaries, self-trust, intimacy, or simply understanding what's happening for you now.

We'll figure out together what makes sense for you.
You decide what you're ready to talk about.
You decide what we focus on.
You decide how quickly we move.

My approach

Though I’ve worked as a rape advocate and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional for many years, I am a human first. I’ll use my empathy to meet you where you are and my clinical training to help you move forward.

If your trust has been shattered and you wonder if it will ever be recovered, starting here can be a good way to find out. I don't expect you to walk into our first session feeling completely comfortable or knowing exactly what to say. Trusting a therapist with your most intense moments isn’t easy work.

My role is to meet you where you are and create a space where you can work at your own pace.

What can change?

Healing doesn't mean forgetting.

It can mean:

  • Feeling more comfortable in your body

  • Trusting your own instincts

  • Setting boundaries with more confidence

  • Feeling safer in relationships

  • Becoming more comfortable with intimacy

  • Having fewer thoughts or reactions that pull you back into the past

  • Feeling more present in your everyday life

We'll define “better” together.

You can start with a conversation.

A free consultation is simply a chance for us to talk, ask questions, and see how it feels to connect.

I am here, ready when you are.
